On our way to Tristan de Cunha

Early yesterday morning we left the beauties of South Georgia to ride 45 knts of south westerly into the Southern Ocean on our way to Tristan.  There was a lot of swell too – 8m high waves at times. I was flat out in my bunk again!

This morning I feel much better and am back on watch. Just now that meant half an hour on the helm in a snow storm, but much of the time it is sunny and magnificent. As I type we are at 52. 32.5 South and 032, 05.9 West. The Furious Fifties indeed.
