My last blog, sent late Friday our time, said we had 5m swell and 30 knots. My sense were dulled by massive anti-seasickness drugs. The storm peaked at 65 knot winds (hurricane force) and 10m swell. The low bottomed out at 976 mb.
All in all, Drakes Passage showing us its fangs.
I didn’t see much of it, being prostrate on my bunk (and tossed my cookies just the once, immediately after the last post.) I could write a detailed description of the lumps and flat bits in my mattress, the discomforts of reaching the loo from an upper berth, and the importance of keeping a water bottle in reach. Probably not, though.
I did know when we reached the Antarctic Convergence, because the condensation got worse. I quite welcomed the occasional cool drop of water, and the evidence of progress south.

reading about your adventures – the highs and now the lows with sickness is inspirational and impressive and a highlight of my day. i hope you get over the sea sickness v soon, best wishes Greer
